EILUNA - NOCTURNE: ABYSS POSTER

A tall-masted ship heels over at the centre, swell rising higher than its own masts, and a dark weight of storm closing in from the right. It is the only piece in NOCTURNE with a human presence, and the smallest thing in its own frame.

ABYSS began as a single image, in the same way as ASCENT and AETHER. It was separated into layers, reduced to a narrow band of greys, then rebuilt as a print. Here the linework is left visible where the water breaks: black ink sits over the grey masses at the wave crests and in the rigging, rather than being smoothed away like the rest of the collection.

Printed on matte stock at 16 × 24 inches. Unframed, shipped rolled.

This print sits alongside the ABYSS garments, not in place of them. Third of three in NOCTURNE.
